Kate's First Easter

Kate had such a great first Easter! My mom and dad were able to come visit and we had a good time going to church, going out for breakfast, and letting Kate "open" her Easter basket. Kate sat with us during Easter service and did a really good job (though I was fearful the whole time that she was going to let out one of her infamous high-pitched screeches). In her Easter basket she was given some board books, puzzles, and a Minnie Mouse that crawls across the floor. She was most impressed with the Easter grass inside the basket though.

Zoo Day with Alisa and Mari!

Since Kate's babysitter was not able to watch her today, I decided to take advantage and take the day off to spend with her. And since my friend, Alisa, just happened to be on maternity leave we took this opportunity to head to the zoo. We had a great time, even though it was super crowded and we spent most of our time eating lunch! Kate seemed to love the zoo and I look forward to taking her here many more times this summer.

As you can see, after several attempts we still were not able to get a picture where both of our girls were looking at the camera. Oh well, there is always Photoshop.

8 Months Old

8 Months Old! Kate is more and more fun every day, and she now has one tooth - her front, bottom right!
